The world like in .hack??

I heard a rumour that there was a mmorpg game released like the one in .hack, "the world"...any true?

There's been many rumors, but nothing is solid as of yet. There was a rumor one was to be released back in 2005, but it wasn't true. Someday, there probably will be one, but not in the near future.
