I am making a magazine rack and I'm using directions I got from www.am-wood.com. Now I've already cut the wood as I've been told how to, the next step is assembling the darn thing. This is how my directions read;

"On the inside (3/4") edge, make a rout that is 1/4" deep and 1/2" wide that runs from 1/2" from the top of the leg to 2 1/2" from the top. This rout should be 1/8" in from wach side. This slot will accomodate the top support that runs along the length of the rack" That's exactly how they read word for word and me and my teacher are at a loss. If you could interpret these archaic directions and tell me in deatil how to rout that, I'm sure that I caould take it from there. As always, all help will be appreciated.

i believe they are trying to create a slot that is wide on the inside, thin on the out, so that something can slide into it and lock in place.

Hi:

I check the plans out out on there website, what this is telling is where to make your cut, Using a 1/2 flat router bit and set the router to a depth of 1/4 inch. Starting on the top inside edge measure from the top 1/2" down start your routing cut there and go down until your 2 inches from your 1/2 inch mark (ie 2 1/2 ) making sure you have 1/8" of wood on each side of the leg

This is for your top support bars to go into your legs

see the drawing on there website it will make sense

Dude it made sense to me. The whole point of a router is to cut a groove in wood so another piece of wood can fit into it. Put your protective eyewear on, turn the router on and carefully route along the side of the wood. Be careful.

What form of router is it? If its a linksys (and it sounds like it says the password on the backside) then it quite is username: sparkling, password: admin. even nevertheless you will possibly no longer have quite reset the router. there's a splash button on the lower back (the place the ports are) which you choose a pen or a paperclip or something to push in. You push this button in for no less than 30 seconds, even nevertheless i choose to propose for no less than a minute. Push it in and save it held down. Then power down the modem permit it sit down for a minute and then plug it lower back in, it may artwork now. EDIT: carry down the reset button on the router for a reliable minute or so, then unplug it and save the button held down while you plug it in. which will reset it
