They're trying to catch sexual predators. Hence the name of the show. I don't think anyone is surprised at all that there are "pervs" on the net...but I would imagine the show would encourage a potential predator to think twice before propositioning a minor for sex and maybe that is what they are trying to accomplish.

Perhaps they will get a message to all those teen girls to not use their real names, or give any personal info on the Internet, and above all, not to go meet anyone who asks. There are unfortunately many young girls who really would go out to meet a guy they met on the web, believing the guy is their own age and not going to hurt them. It also may convince parents to pay more attention to what their naive young people are doing.

I think they are actually getting pedophiles off the streets- I know our local channel has an undercover operation and it truly is working- they caught, and I'm not joking, a priest!!

you are ignorant and wrong and don't know what you are talking about. if guys are pervs, then so are women. besides, when you were 13, what the hell were you doing chatting with full grown adult guys anyway? also, if you teased them, that was messed up and wrong of you. guys would rather get sexual with full grown adult women than under-age girls anyway, so maybe those guys you chatted with didn't really mean what they said when they acted as into you as they acted into you, if you are telling the truth about what you did back.
also, guys want and need foreplay and sex with women whereas vice versa is not the case at all, so stop wrongfully insulting guys for reason, and start having some f#cking compassion for them and give them sexual opportunities with you if you're 18 or older. besides, i think that tv show you mentioned was sexist, wrong, and extremely f#cked up. how come they didn't go after any women? what the hell? why the sexism? also, they shouldn't have gotten in trouble on the show at all since they didn't actually do anything wrong. the adults pretending to be under-age kids on the end should be the ones getting in trouble, if anyone should get in trouble, since they tried to start the whole thing. if they don't get in any trouble for it, then the ones that they chat with shouldn't get in any trouble for it either, since no one actually did anything wrong. maybe those would've PREFERRED full grown adult women, but maybe they were wrongfully turned down for sex with those women too many f#cking times that they resported to trying to see if they could get it with some under-age girl instead, so maybe those women were to blame, so maybe if anyone should be held accountable and get in trouble for those guys chatting with adults pretending to be under-age kids online, maybe it should be those women. by the way, in the old days with religion, guys and women married and had sex with each other even before they were 18 years old. with the story of mary and joseph, didn't joseph mary and have sex with virgin mary after jesus christ was born? how come no one seems to think extremely badly of joseph in that story? also, i read online that elvis presley went after under-age girls at one time, yet no one seems to think extremely badly of him. wasn't it tradition with many religions centuries or milleniums ago for guys and women to marry and have sex even while they were both still under 18? nonetheless, it's still better for guys and women to have foreplay and sex with women once they're both 18 or older, ok? there's nothing wrong with role-play. as long as guys get sexual with full grown adult women, and women get sexual with full grown adult guys, then it's ok. besides, there's a lack of sexual activity between guys and women in america anyway. if anything, there should more, not less, foreplay and sex between guys and women. look, guys want, need, and desired foreplay and sex with women to be happy, enjoy life, and want live, and you're wrong for wrongfully bad-mouthing guys over that fact. instead of women wrongfully bad-mouthing guys for wanting and need foreplay and sex with women despite that fact that vice versa isn't the case at all, women should give guys sexual opportunities with women out of compassion, and be ok with it and not have a problem with it at all, because again, even though women don't need it with guys, guys need it with women. i'm right and you're wrong. i'm right, and whether you want to admit it or not, you know i'm right.
