I recently had my phone stolen and have already gone through the process of having it reported and the number blocked etc. etc. However I was wondering if there was any way to lock-out the entire phone, so the actual device does not function, as well as the number.

Thanks in advance

Unfortunately not. The only thing I would recommend in the future is to password protect your phone so if you lose your new phone they won't be able to access anything.

- The cellular company can deactivate the service to the phone, but they cannot deactivate the phone itself. They cannot block someone from accessing your contacts, pictures, etc.

I've worked in the business for 10 years and know what can and cannot be blocked by the company.

Yes you can. Call your cellular service provider and have the phone deactivated. The CSR can do this by accessing your account and clicking the profile tab. Once the deactivation SOC is completed the phone becomes a very expensive paper weight.
