Somehow, yes, he does. He's got more influence than the UN and more influence than the US President. The reason being that the US President parks away after a max of 8 years while Gates stays on. Every big business, organisation or government is benefitting from one of Gates' products. None could function properly without him. Yes, somehow, he is in the cockpit. Just see how manufacturers and dealers worldwide are begging him to make Vista Operating System available to home use PCs before January.

bill gates does rule HIS world. that world is the technology world. like previous users said every company in the world uses his products one way or another. but i saw him get interviewed on some show and he doesnt even use personally any of his own products... for example he doesnt hav a ipod. he doesnt even carry a wallet. he is a simple man with very very high goals in mind for him and his company.....

Only when he's as quiet as he's been lately. When he's in the limelight he can't rule, but when he's hidden I'm afraid of what he could do. The man has more power than he should, and that can be dangerous in many ways. Economically, politically, and who knows how many influences he generates. Scary!
