It will never be released. After the coroner viewed it, Steve's wife, Terri, made it clear that the video would not be made available for public viewing. I really don't understand why anyone would want to view it, watching a nice man like Steve die, and knowing the heartache his family are still suffering.

If it was released it was only done so on the black market. His wife wanted others to not go through what he and his family had to go through. As well as the video is so unlike the fun loving adventurious man the world grew to love that that is not home they want him remembered.
It's simply respect for the dead a concept many in the world have forgotten. i mean really would you want people sitting around watching your loved one die painfully over and over again? (I don't mena you personally just in general)

His death or the video he was producing? I heard it was a project he was doing with his daughter and she will finish it and air in on some kids program.
His death video was to be destroyed after authorities were done with it.

I saw a vid on metacafe but it looks like the vid doesnt show it like you would expect a staged hollywood scene...it just shows him swimming along a small trench then stopping...then it's cut short..
http://www.metacafe.com/watch/275535/steve_irwins_death/
its toward the end of the vid...not very dramatic..shows what real footage of drama is really like on a footnote..
