I really enjoyed The Pilot's Wife, but the others I've tried seemed a bit slow to me.

Only brief I'm afraid. I worked in a large airport bookstore for seven years and I don't think I can remember ever selling an Anita Shreve novel to a male customer! She seems to be a great favourite with female readers. My wife has read several of her books and says that The Pilots Wife is the best.

I really liked her earlier novels. But after a while, her books just started to seem like one very long Lifetime movie and a little repetitive.

I read the Pilot's Wife and enjoyed it but oh so depressing.
