I used to get into the song "Bro Hymn (Tribute)" by Pennywise a lot. The song was written by their bass player (Jason Matthew Thirsk) about some friends who had died, and the subject of the song is about friendship and how good friends stick by each other through thick and thin. Then, in 1996, JMT comitted suicide, and the band rerecorded the song as a tribute to him. There's one part in the song where they got his brother Justin to sing the lines "Jason, my brother, this one's for you." You can hear the tears in his voice, and it always made me think of how hard it has to be to lose your brother.
