Ask your Realtor to personally deliver your a check. I am a Realtor and that's what I do for clients that don't want to deal with wire transfers. Most banks have a cut off time of 2:00 p.m. or 4:00 p.m. So, if the funds are in escrow by that time, they can do it for you on the same day. It may take up to 48 hours to complete the transfer though. Check is easier, because the escrow company can issue it to you on the same day.

You can either ask for a check or a wire transfer.

The wire transfer might take a day but the full amount of the funds will immediately be available to you once it reaches your bank. Get the wire transfer details from your bank to make sure you get it right since wire transfers often differ in the payment details from an ACH transfer! (Learned that one the hard way!)

If you opt for a check, you'll have your money "in your hands" immediately but there's a good chance that your bank is going to put a hold on it so you won't actually be able to spend any of it for several days.

the keys go to the buyer per the agreement the buyer/seller set up on the contract. you really should close and get the money at the closing table before you give the keys to the buyer. make sure to have all utilities changed out of your name before time to ensure you will not have a problem getting the new buyer to put the utilities in their name.

Depends on where you live. When I sold my house in NYC, I left the closing with the checks in my hand, and the buyer left with the keys. Ask the title company or attorney who handled the closing.

It depends on the transaction. Most transactions will conclude after the deed is recorded which can be the same day but can also be the next day. It really depends when the deal funded.

Here is some additional info. Hope this helps.
