the flap in my bar will not stay up on its own,it is hinged and comes up against a wall,need a thing to locate the swine into before my head becomes very sore.tried going to my local with a screwdriver but they are getting wise to this one now.

I guess you want a catch to fasten to the wall, and hold your barflap open, in a vertical position. Try Till & Whitehead. They have branches around the UK. Visit www.tillwite.com, then go to Ironmongery , and then Catches, where they list a couple of "Counterflap Hinges", which sound like what you want.

A good quality iron monger should have one, it would be a sort of hook that latched on when the flap touched it just by gravity, you should find one in brass normally.

use a bungy cord 2.95 at Ace Hardware.
