The ones you absolutely can't pay CALL and tell them and make arrangements. Places are usually much more willing to work with you when you contact them to make payment arrangments and provide an explanation of your arrears.

Pay your bills in this order:
Pay your rent/mortgage.
Pay all minimum payments.
Pay your car payment.
Pay your utilities.
Pay extra on your highest interest loan.

If you owe money to any friends or family you should make payments on those loans, because you have your reputation at stake which is more important than your credit score.

Depends on what kind of bills you have. When we didn't have enough money we had to decide who got paid and who didn't. My system was, if it can be turned off or repossessed, pay them first.

Call ahead and notify your creditors. Also, do not get carried away with the shopping season and get into more debt.

I suggest you to save half your salary until you have two months of salary in your bank account.

If you lose your job again you will be prepared.
