Try a product called De-Solv-It. You can find it in the household cleaners section of your local retailer. It is excellent at removing adhesive and is safe to use on skin.

soak the area well ,in hot soapy water ,
keep it immersed ,for as long as you can ,
then rub dry with a gentle, but firm, one way movement .
it should start to roll off ,
You may have to do this a couple of times more
but you will eventually, get rid of that clingy ,sticky stuff ,
entirely .
I promise ..........
Do not scrub
or be rough with your skin
and do not use alcohol or other chemicals
or you may do damage
You can sooth the skin ,with some baby oil ,after the adhesive has been removed . .

Use Vaseline or Baby oil. You could even try cooking spray. Just let it sit on your skin for a bit then wipe off with a soft cloth. Hope you have a quick recovery from your hospital stay.

many natural oils will soften the adhesive. Try mineral oil, or lemon, or orange oil...these are kind to your skin too...you can also try alcohol...it works well but it might irritate the skin

A woman that works in the lab at my doctors office told me that baby oil and crisco work. I used the baby oil and it works.

Anything oil-based, like baby oil or lotion or even cooking oil. Oil breaks down stickiness. Try it. You'll see.
