Everyone can change. But depending on the circumstances it takes more inner strength for some people to change than others. And they have to change for themselves, not for you or their mom or girlfriend etc. They have to really want it and work for it. All you can do is be supportive and encouraging and realize that there is a point where you may have to step away to protect yourself...
Eveyone can change. I'm not sure if I could go on living if I didn't believe this...

Yes, a person can change provided that is what they want & really believe is necessary to have a good life.
Is this person currently going to NA? Getting a degree is possible for most people. If this person has graduated high school or has a GED & currently has a job they can contact the local community college and get started on the way to getting a degree. If this person doesn't have a job that may be somewhat harder to get. But with the right attitude and drive people can accomplish great things for themselves and others. Good Luck!

Anything is possible. Do they want to change? Do they believe they can change? Those are things that this person needs to ask themself...if they know that there past is just that, the past. Then they can move forward and accept the great things they were supposed to achieve in the first place. Just believe and it can be done!!!!!

Yes! People can change if they WANT to change. So if this person really wants to turn their life around it is definitely possible. First they need to remove the bad influences in their life. Get away from the druggies, criminals, and those that bring them down through negative talk. Find something constructive to do with their time and only surround themselves with people that are positive and who believe in him/her.

Yes, nearly everyone has the capacity to change. A small percentage of people can not. They also need motivation, understanding the issue (s) they want to change, and a sincere desire to do so.
