Is it country like? Is there buses out there? Is cost of living expensive? What are jobs like out there? etc??

I have visited there a number of times. Bennington, itself, is a town, but it is surrounded by woods and mountains. According to:

Bennington has a cost of living about 5% higher than the US as a whole.
There are certainly buses going to Bennington. As to buses within town, I don't know.
Bennington does a big tourist business, so there are likely to be jobs in retaurants, motels, etc.
