I don't think you're serious, but if you are, you should know the answer all ready. Your kids will have another Christmas, your dog only has one chance at life, to put him down because you don't want to spend the money on him is deplorable. You could even teach your children to not be so materialistic and enjoy the spirit of Christmas without all the plastic junk. Sounds like win/win to me.

Oh, it's you again, I see, haha. Your jokes aren't really that funny, you know.

Why are you asking this question? You have already decided what you are going to do and just need someone else to back you up.
If the dog is gravely ill, is in pain, or suffering from any form of cancer which is causing him distress, has been run over and no brain activity, then yes, you should have him put to sleep for his sake not your own.
Then with the money go out and get another dog from a rescue centre, and give the rest to the vets or RSPCA. and give the dog a nice Christmas.

Spend the money on the dog... in the long run, the dog will be your kids Christmas present... imagine this Christmas without Charlie because you spent it on stuffed animals instead...

I'd probaly choose the childrens happiness over the life of the dog. But it depends how attached u are to the dog. Also u should consider how old Charlie is and whether he will suffer after op.

However, as i said i'd choose the to spend the money on the children.

Saving your dog is a good enough present for anyone.
Don't put him down because your kids would enjoy christmas more with there dog than presents.
Presents aren't everything and they will soon get over it.
They would never get over having the dog being put down.

I hope this is a joke, your kids wouldn't enjoy christmas much if the dog was put down, mine would give up all their presents for a family pet and so would I . Does your name give us a clue?

You should have insurance!

I'd choose the dog, cos no amount of presents will make the kids happy at christmas if 'Charlie' dies. I think they'd choose the same, but ask them.
