According to a news segment done by CNN. Majority of people in middle east does not welcome the third sex. There were incidents that some people were exiled from their families when their family found out that they were gay or lesbian. Is being gay/lesbian a sin in islam?

yes it is. its just that the middle eastern countries are a little bit behind. Not in a bad way though ( i don't mean to offend anyone) its just that they are still living the old ways and they are very religous people. But what they do to their gay and lesbian people is what other nations do all around the world. Its just that american has more pro gay shows with overly homosexual funny characters that makes it more accepting. In the middle east they don't have that.

Yes, it is a sin in Islam like in other religions, and in Middle East many people are traditional and religious. Acceptance of homosexuality is a modern and secular idea (that I agree with).

Umm, most people in the world do not agree with a gay lifestyle, hmm, I wonder why. It will never be totally excepted, people don't like it. Get over it. Anything unnatural is not going to be accepted.

They have strick religious beliefs based on honor, some of these middle east countries still burn woman to death who have commited adultry

People who have no more moral fiber, see homosexuality as OK.
People who still have morals, know right away, it is incredibly messed up and not God's way...
