The day after Thanksgiving in the United States, is frequently referred to as Black Friday. One of the major U.S. holiday shopping days. The day many U.S. consumers begin Christmas shopping. The day is heavily promoted by retailers.
The origin of Black Friday comes from the shift to profitability during the holiday season. Black Friday was when retailers went from being unprofitable, or "in the red," to being profitable, or "in the black", at a time when accounting records were kept by hand and red indicated loss and black profit.

I am afraid that you are too late for the BLACK FRIDAY Savings this year. It is the Friday after Thanksgiving. There are a number of stores that open extremly early like 4 am with great deals on such things as toys and electronics to drag shoppers in by the truckload. People generally stand in long lines all over the stores trying to get their young children lots of neat stuff CHEAP. This year was not especially good for a number of the retailers on "Black Friday". Have a GREAT HOLIDAY!!

Black Friday is the shopping day after thanksgiving. It is called black friday because that's generally when businesses that were in the red or losing money finally get to turn a profit which puts them back in black.
