Considering their president is calling for troop removal, even though he is aware that he needs us, says that his voting populace wants the US out. Why can't americans vote on whether or not we want our money to be used for war? My guess is the vote would be NO

I say that if they vote our troops out by all means we should leave, but I don't know or believe that they (the majority) want us out. Even though it is ugly over there if our hated troops leave the warlords will once again take over. The common person over there is most likely very aware of what would follow if we left (most likely they know more about what would follow than our leaders) so I say if the common man wants us out we should go.

Since the Iraqi people elected representatives - why should they have a referendum?

Face it - the Iraqi people have spoken. If they wanted us out we would have been asked to leave.
