Yes they do. And some experience a rare occurence where the lashes grow inward instead of outward. Dr's then must operate to correct the growth problem.

It happened with my younger cousin.

Yes, eyelashes on the baby come in while you are pregnant, around 28 weeks or so. Check out babycenter.com for a great timeline of when things like that happen in the womb.

They sure do. The ones that will have long eyelashes later in life are born with long eyelashes and the future short eyelash kids start with short eyelashes.

Preemies might not have developed eyelashes yet when born.

Yes they have eyelashes and eyebrows when they're born.....they are just very thin and they haven't gotten pigment in them yet. LOL.......you'll be able to see them in a month or two.

yes & my son's were really light &short. it was really cool watching them grow over the past year. i breastfed him, so i would just sit and stare at his face so i really noticed his eyelashes. now they are long & dark. i would ask my husband if he noticed the baby's eyelashes growing & he said uh...no. it is just a neat memory that i will always have!

My daughter's were really really tiny, and it's been amazing to notice the difference. She's now 2, and I swear her lashes are probably longer than mine. Hers are not very dark, never were. They are really pretty. A nice frame for her grayish blue eyes!

As far as I know, I do not think they do. Most eye lashes come in later on a few weeks or even a month down the road.
