You'd love to see WHO go?? If you'd love a particular group to go then maybe your country isn't so great after all. . . ?!
Maybe it's also that people from other countries actually CARE about politics and try to get INVOLVED and VOICE their opinions in an effort to change things. . .instead of sitting around griping but doing absolutely nothing. . .not that that would be you bc I don't know you. But being American means voicing opinions and if you think some people can voice opinions whereas others are just a bore, then. . .?
Maybe these people to whom you refer exercise their right to protest because they CAN. Maybe they never had that right before.
Or maybe you are referring to people born in the US, like me. I do think America is a beautiful country with wonderful people, but I don't think we have cornered the market on virtue or even democracy. . .it's not like other countries don't have that as well. Of course some don't, but don't insult the ones that do (have democracy, freedom of speech, etc etc).
If I ever complain about anything (which is not often enough, believe me) then it's bc I am trying to change things for the better in my own miniscule way.

Because freedom of speech is part of the constitution so as to not mute anyone. There is not a country out there without it's fair share of issues. America has an awesome responsibility in our lifetime and saying nothing only makes the problem worse. And we need to devide up what we're talking about here. Is it the polital system? The politicians? The people? Who is it? If someone did not like America as a whole, they probably will or have left. I can't think of one person that has not said something about this country, the politicians or the people that annoyed them or that they didn't like. If you think you haven't, you're lieing. Nothing ever gets solved when we ignore the giant pink elephant in the room. Words lead to ideas which lead to activity which lead to change. And political or religeous hushing is just the way to kill a democracy.

Because you are sick of the way your country is moving. We stay because we love it, we complain because we love it, we rally because we love it, we revolt and sit in and protest because we love it.
JUST because we won't be its b.itc.h doesn't mean we are anti our country. Please, if you see your country becoming something you feel is utterly wrong it is your DUTY to speak up or go the way of all the other oppressed and murdered peoples of the world who NEVER said anything!!!!
And if you are talking about the USA, which was formed out of questioning and TREASON....Fighting the government to remain honest and true IS the AMERICAN way, what the hell is less American than protest and VOTING and making changes?
