It really depends on the pages.
The red X just means it can't load the picture. This might be for a variety of reasons, but if it only happens on peoples messy myspace pages, and not on big corporate websites, chances are that it's the fault of the people who run the web pages.

If this isn't the answer, maybe add some information about what sites give you the problem and what browser you are using.

There is nothing you can really do for this. one of the most famous reasons for this is that the person who desgined the web page move that pic and the computer is looking for it where they told it too when they made the site. Try restarting your computer that might help. If not then i would say that someone moved the pictures and files without updating the site.

You can try the refresh button, but it might not be a problem on your end. The red x's are placeholders that are used when the graphic isn't available (maybe the file was moved/deleted or the server is currently too busy)
