There are truly quite a few the reason why there are this kind of large style of variations of the Bible. * some human beings believe that they could do a better ideal job of translation than the most suitable human being or team of translators. * from time to time the languages that the Bible change into translated into change into archaic and just about unreadable through the final public. * because we do no longer have the originals of the books of the Bible, some human beings believe that making use of diverse manuscripts might want to yield a better ideal translation or one which is closer in intending to the perceived unique. * some human beings believe that different translations do not positioned around the right that technique of the manuscripts, that the translators did a nasty or biased job. * besides, there are diverse approaches and kinds of translation -- literal, paraphrase, liberal, poetic, etc.... And there are in all likelihood different causes. yet that is why we would want to no longer count upon any unmarried translation for determining doctrine. the international huge information superhighway has many, many Bible information superhighway sites with dissimilar translations accessible. So there's no excuse for most individuals with get entry to to the internet no longer to study quite a few translations at the same time as interpreting God's note. .

Martina McBride does the most amazing acapella version. Chills and tears are to be expected.
John Berry, another country artist, does a great version, too,

The best I have EVER heard was a close friend of our family. He was a big, 6'4 teddy bear of a man who had this amazing tenor voice and he would get up and blow the roof of of our church on Christmas Eve. Sadly he passed away from cancer 5 years ago and I would give anything just to have a CD of it. It was amazing.

well, Cartman from South Park does a ridiculously funny version, but vocally, I think the best ones I have heard are by 1. John Legend and 2. Celine Dion

The Fold
Christian Band

If you want a choral arrangement, Adolphe Adam/Linda Spevacek did a great one, they kept the same melody, but added a bit of a zing to it. If you can find it anywhere, it is fun.

Michael Crawfords! It gives me tingles every time!

Josh Groban's is good too! Sometimes I swear it's the voice of God singing when these men sing this hymn!
