The theatres are amazing. There are some great shows out at the moment, the best are Billy Elliot, Dirty Dancing and Chicago.
You can do the London eye at night that is a good experience. There are hundreds of nice restaurants in London, if you want to go upmarket try The Ivy or Langhams restaurants.
Also just something very simple like goin to the cinema with friends to see a film them a meal out is good.
Once you get to London you will never be bored there is always something to do!

Feb 18 is a Sunday so the nightlife will be fairly limited anyway. You could:
1) Go ice-skating (at Somerset House, amongst many other places)
2) Go to a fancy cinema such as the Electric (Notting Hill) or the Everyman (Hampstead) where you can sit on sofas and eat and drink at tables
3) Go to a sushi restaurant
4) Go to a Swedish electronic music concert
5) Take a ride on a sightseeing bus
6) Hire a limo for the evening and cruise around the West End sipping champagne (or tea)
7) Check in to a style hotel and hang out in their bar listening to live jazz
8) Buy yourself a copy of either TimeOut London guidebook or the wallpaper* London guide and fish for more ideas :)

Previous answers and 1000s of web pages can give you ideas, my recommendations are:
1) Check EVENTS happening on the 16th, there may be a fair, convention, or music event, sth "unique".
2) Theatre: I like stomp or blue man group for a more light hearted entertainment. Of course all the musical and proper plays are there too. If you like Monty phyton, you will still have Spamalot to see, i think.
3) Walks: London walks are nice cheap (like 5 pounds) way of doing tourism, the jack the ripper tour, in foggy, rainy winter should be sth. Check the website for offerings.
Or you can just walk along the Thames and enjoy the beautiful sights, and maybe you could be tempted to stop at one of the pubs there.
4) If you the kind that like to go to the church, there may be classical music performances, etc.
5) visit meetup.com and see who is meeting where and pop in as special guests.
Cheers

You can get half price theatre tickets for West End shows from the Booth in Leicester Square. Restaurants are expensive, but some like Wagamamma are reasonable.

just take a long walk from Canary wharf to Lambeth Bridge (along the thames) and at the same time walk across both sides of each of central london's bridges (Tower, Wobbly, London, Southwark, Blackfriars, Waterloo, Hungerford, Westminster and Lambeth)
If that doesn't tire you out, do the same in reverse

You could go to the theatre. Les Miserables is fabulous, you'd love it. Search to see what else is available if that's not to your taste. If you'd rather go somewhere where you can chat then go to a restaurant. There are loads in central London to choose from.
