I have an interview, which is informal and the purpose of it is to coach a team manager for 10mins, any ideas anyone can provide me with? It can be anything....

Best thing to do is to use the GROW model (lots more info available on the net about this)

1) G = goal. Get them to outline what their aim is in a particular situation eg to be more motivational with the team. Ge them to explain to you what this would look like, how it would feel, what they'd be doing etc

2) R = reality. Explore what the current reality (situation) is at the moment. What are they currently doing - how is the team currently feeling etc

3) O = options. Get them to think about all the things they could possibly do to improve the situation and move towards their goal.

4) W = will. Get them to commit to choosing some next steps. What WILL they actively do to bring the goal closer.

Using the GROW model you explore all apects of a situation and it forms a really good basis for a coaching session.
