Gotta love it, when the wannabe experts show up to answer questions. Here are a few facts about the NFL. The team with the best record in the NFC and the best record in the AFC, usually don't end up facing each other in the Super Bowl. Once January comes, the regular season goes out the window. I don't care who has the most wins in either conference, this is a very real scenario. For everyone claiming that Carolina is the best this year, the Saints are still atop the division, and closing in on the top spot in the NFC. The Saints vs Dallas game has been moved to primetime, apparently the guys that make a living on football think there is something to both of these teams. The way to determind a real contender, is staying healthy, steadily improving, especially at this point in the year(the Giants and Falcons are a good example of a team falling apart once the wear of the season starts to take its toll).

With all of that in mind, your matchup is a definite possibility. Here's my take on who to watch. In the AFC the Ravens, Colts, Chargers, Patriots, and you can't rule Denver out just yet. On the NFC side, Dallas is surging late, Seattle, Carolina can't be ruled out if they sneak in on wild card, Chicago, and yes accept the fact they are real this time Saints.

It would be an interesting matchup but it won't happen. The Saint's D just isn't Superbowl quality and the Pats are probably the 3rd-best team in the AFC. Between the Patriots, Colts, Chargers and even Ravens, it's very close. The Pats have Brady, but their defense isn't close to what it's been in recent years, especially with Harrison out.

No it wouldn't be (interesting) I'd even let my wife have the tv that weekend if it happened. Neither team has the depth of talent to make a serious run this season. There is very slim to NO chance that the Saints could make it past either the Bears or the Seahawks in the playoffs, and likewise very slim to NO chance that the Pats could get past the Colts, Ravens or the Chargers, not this year.

Perhaps next year. If the Saints continue to improve they WILL get there very soon however, this is a good team with a good coach........

The Patsies? They're not even close to being the best team in the AFC. The Colts, Ravens, Chargers, and possibly the Chiefs and Bengals are better than they are. They just aren't very good. Their linebackers are old and slow and lacking in depth. Their secondary is soft against the pass too, with the exception of Samuel, but you can easily just throw away from him. Their offense is decent, but when you get dominated by the fricking Colts defense, you can't be THAT great...

As for the Saints....maybe. I don't feel Chicago is for real. They'll go into the playoffs and their poor QB play will screw them over. I think Dallas might be the best team in the NFC....

It's a tough road for both teams. With New England's relatively easy schedule coming up they will be fighting for home field advantage. If they get it they will be difficult to beat. I am not ready to declare them the favorites yet, but they will be in the competition. Meanwhile the Saints have made a good run, but chances are, they won't even win their division. So, assuming they get into the playoffs they would then have to win on the road and get through some tough foes. Chicago, and Dallas alone are enough reason to think the Saints won't be playing late into the playoffs. A game between New England and New Orleans would be entertaining. But I would rather see Indianapolis against new Orleans. The best thin the New England New Orleans game has going for it is they are both "New" teams, it lends itself well to promos.

Colt and Cowboys. Saints aren't for real. Don't think they can beat Bears or Boys. Patriots would stomp Saints. The Saints mediocre D is what hurts them.

i can c both of these teams making the super bowl

New Orleans:
1) they would have to play @ chicago for the NFC championship
2) Reggie Bush would have to step up big time

Patriots:
1) Dillon and Maroney would lead the offense
2) the pats would have 2 play @ Indy for the AFC championship

New England may very well be there, but there are a few teams in the NFC who are better: Chicago, Dallas, and Carolina are all better than the Saints.

It would be more exciting to watch the Saints agings the Chargers, for obvious reasons.
