yes?! if you listen to the radio program coast to coast late night or on their web page web cast and look up time travel they had a scientist who is working on it and according to his theory if he does make a time device it can send you to the future and back to the time he first invented the machine because it would be a contradiction if you were to go back to a time before it was invented!

Not today. If we could, my opinion is it would be as hard as space travel. Our farthest probes are only a light-HOUR away, we could only go an hour back & forth in time. Suppose the probe had a hi-res camera aimed back at earth, we could see what happened an hour ago, but not change it. If we could build a space ship that travelled near the speed of light, it could go to the future and see if there were Morloks & Eloi, the crew would not age much. If they wanted to come back to our time they would have to find a large old black hole. Hopefully time would be slowed enough even outside it's event horizon so they could get to a point in the "past" and then come home from there...

Generally I would say "No".
Although Einsteins experiments concluded that if the object with mass is propelled fast enough (in-excess of the speed of light) that time travel is possible, the overall limitation would be a human body's reaction to such speed. Scientist do not have any formal information that would describe what would happen to a human body at that speed, more specifically, what would happen to the "cells" that make up our bodies.
Unfortunately, I don't think it will happen in our lifetimes.

We would only be able to go back. If we were to travel forward in time, the hman body would turn into dust in the breeze. You would have to have QUITE an acceleration nonetheless. Try slingshotting around the Sun directly back towards the earth. You'll get a big crash.

Forward -- yes, Backwards no.
The machine that Will take FORWARD in future will work like this -- travel at a very high sub-light speed. According to the theory of relativity you clock will tick slower then everyone Else's clock -- thus you can advance hundreds of years, yest subjectively perceive it as couple of minutes.[1]
Backwards travel is not supported by science however.

No it never will be possible. How do we know? Because if time travel ever became possible it would, in a way, already be possible. If people in the future invented time travel they would be able to travel back to now - and then there would be people around now who could time travel.
The abscence of time-tourists shows that we won't be able to do it.

maybe if we can break free of the theory/law of only being able to dilate time and not go any further..like ol' colberthelper said there...completely negative response with no explanation...completely closed minded..(must be a republican heh)...not unlike what the wright brothers must have faced...I think the scientific community needs to check themselves because that same community always proves itself wrong in its pessimism..i.e. in the 50s popular mechanics said that by 2000 we would actually have a computer that would "just" be able to fit in a room...don't underestimate the future...plus everyone says you have to accelerate yourself to dialate time...but they are still thinking in the box...the point is you can accomplish the same thing by accelerating your outer enviroment...not yourself duh...

Impossible...Sat down and thought about it for hours, and it could never happen. Trust me, we would all like to go back in time and fix mistakes or deaths, but it's completely impossible

I THINK ITS POSSIBLE IMAGINE THIS, IF A DRAG RACER CAN GO 0-60 IN 3 SECONDS IS IT POSSIBLE TO GO FAST ENOUGH THAT YOU GO 0-60 IN 0 SECONDS OR EVEN INTO NEGATIVE SECONDS. I KNOW RIGHT NOW IT SEEMS IMPOSSIBLE BUT 1000 YEARS AGO THEY NEVER THOUGHT WE WOULD BE ABLE TO FLY.
