I can't help but listen to The Mountain Goats over and over. I love John Darnielle's lyrics over very simplistic sounding rhythms. His music creates such visuals and feelings in my head, like no other artist can. I wish he was touring in Chicago sometime soon. What bands fill your heads with pictures from their music?

Have not heard of The Mountain Goats, but will check them out for sure.
I love Fountains of Wayne. And the song Hackensack. The humor, the music....LOVE IT.
(who else would rhyme "I heard you talking" with "Christopher Walken")

I've never heard of them. Like someone else said, Pink Floyd does that for me as well. I love their music! I also love love love this band called Brand New. They're AMAZING!!
