As a Dallas Stars fan I just have to ask, "What the heck is going to derail the Ducks winning train?" I mean, every game they have everything going for them, skill, luck, stamina, emotion, the gods...
The only thing I can think of is the playoff explosion of the Stars last season. Maybe?
Go STARS!!!!?!!!

I am sorry to tell you that Dallas will not do it again this year. The ducks have Pronger and Neidamayer on the blue line and with two of the best defence in the business, they inspire the rest of the team. On a line by line basis, they stack up even or better than most teams. They believe in themselves and that is a powerful motivating factor. Some key acquisitions in the off season filled gaps that cost them in the playoffs last year. Remember we are only 26 games into the season and a lot can happen. They have stayed healthy so far but key injuries at inopportune times and play a devastating role on a team.

The Ducks are the best team in the league right now. They have two goalies who could both easily make the All Star Game. They have some of the best defensemen in the league in Pronger, and Neidemyer. Plus they have some really talented wingers/centers. They are a complete team, and will be very hard to take down in a seven game series. Good Luck to you and the Stars.

Luck and Duck rhyme but luck is not what's causing the winning column in the Duck's record to go up..
Sit down and watch a couple of games and it will be evident that they are consistent ...sure they are not great and have ups and downs (that's where you see the OTL column added up to 6 i believe) and i would imagine god leaves it up to them to win the games, don't think he's got a hand in it...
suck it up stars' fan!
i know you're still getting over the playoff loss in 2003..round 2...
cheer up

When they got that 5 on 3 last night you just had the feeling they would score. They are taking advantage of what is given them and winning any way they can. Pronger and Niedermeyer are maybe going to end up 1 and 2 in the Norris voting when it is all said and done. Getzlaf , Perry, Obrien pretty good young players. Dallas looks good to me also.

The ducks are unbelievable this year. The preds aren't doing to bad this year, I'm just glad we're not in your division. Ouch, San Jose, Ducks, and Dallas Tough Division. What is up with your stadium we cant win on your ice. We can beat you in Nashville though, Good luck to you, and your stars.

The biggest unknown the Ducks have going for them is a quality GM in Brian Burke. Realistically, in his time with Vancouver he had his hands tied tightly. Now, with the salary cap, he still has budget constraints but he's no longer fighting with his own management about them as all the other 29 teams have the same constraints.
I really thought Burke was their biggest acquisition in the past few years as there was no question the talent would follow once he got there.

First of all the Dallas Stars suck. No southern team deserves to have a hockey team becuase none of those fans know what it feels like to have snow and skate on a pond...real hockey. Hockey is all about the atmosphere. All the Canadian teams and teams in the states close to the border deserve to be reconized. And lastly, the Dallas Stars suck still and The Toronto Maple Leafs are the best team in the leauge.

i have obsevered that the dcks are very fast due ti Nemainen (not spelled right) and due to their addition of Pronger they have gotten better on the defense. But they work in harmony. so if they were to lose the team would have to be slowed down and taken ou of their usual game.

so tired of the ducks already. they just cannot keep this pace up.
i am a major stars fan as well and like how we started, but the offense is problematic. dallas DESPERATELY needs a terrific young scorer or 2. the ducks and sharks have tons of them and dallas seems to do a crappy job of acquiring guys with elite offensive skills. that's the difference between dallas and anaheim.
turco still can't beat detroit either. pathetic.
hate the ducks!!!!
