Peak flow is a measure of lung function and as such doesn't "affect" a smoker's health one way or the other. It will indicated the effect smoking is having on the smoker tho.'

your peak flow reading is a gage of how your llungs are functioning. asthmatics use a peak flow meter to judge how bad an attack theyre having as well as to monitor if treatment is working. if your peak flow drops below half of your best rating you need to call an ambulance.
