Why does the heatpump fan in my house run continously?

I can turn the thermostat off and it still runs. If I shut off the breaker it will stop running, but as soon as I turn the breaker back on it starts running again. The heat/air doesn't stay on...only the fan.

You may have a stuck switch or relay. Call a HACV contractor if you can't find the problem

There must be a thermostat control, that either needs to be reset or replaced.

switch the "fan" switch on your thermostat to "auto"
