Depends on what you mean by "witches." The fantasy person/creature with the warts and flying broomstick and shapeshifting, like Madam Mim in the Sword And The Stone... No. I don't think there are any of those.

But I think those have a base in reality--that there are people who were a bit like that, and gave credence to those legends. There are people who practice witchcraft in many religions, and there's a pagan religion whose only name is "witchcraft." Those witches, I believe exist.

YES I DO !!
I don't believe that they have green skin, warts, crooked noses and fly on broomsticks, Spreading the word that Witches were ugly was just simply another way of discouraging people from becoming interested in something that is not understood.

There are witches/Pagan's out there who believe in the nature religion's of course there are ... anyone who says there are not is quite frankly a bit thick.

Yes.
IMO, witches aren't something to believe in or not like say ghosts. Do they run around in black pointy hats, have warts, and all that? Not any that I know. Most witches I know (and I personally know at least 6, including my husband) blend into the general public very well.

You might want to do a yahoo or google search on wiccan, pagan, and/or witches.

"WITCH" is an imaginary creation of the Christian religion. There is no such thing as a witch. The term witch is usually derived from the original "wicca" or "wiccan" which is someone who has beliefs in the power of magic, or the power of earth spirits. These people are commonly referred to as "pagans" although according to the christian religion anyone who practices a religion outside of Christianity is considered a pagan...

But just to answer your question, yes - I believe in wiccans, but not magic....

Depends on your definition of Witches – If by Witches, you mean a bunch of kids running around naked in the forest praying to the earth mother, than sure.

If you're referring to Wicca, yes. My mother is Wiccan and proud.
If you mean green skinned, warts on their faces, broom-riding, big nosed evil women, then no.

I don't believe that there are actual witches, but I think satan can make people believe they are so they won't need God.
