Fayetteville, Arkansas

Home to the University of Arkansas. A college town of about 50,000 with a University enrollment of about 18,000, in a metro area of approximately 300,000. Wal-mart headquarters in nearby Bentonville, Arkansas has pumped a great deal of money into the area. If you're looking for a job Wal-mart employs thousands at its corporate headquarters in high level positions. Additionally check out Tyson Foods, J.B. Hunt, Washington Regional Hospital, University of Arkansas, as well as several school districts, city governments, and hundreds of established and up-starting businesses. The area is really inexpensive compared to the east coast, but surprisingly progressive and growing. There are many quality luxury homes being built and smaller retirement homes to choose from. If you are considering retirement, you might consider nearby Bella Vista which caters to retirees with all amenities for retirees including championship golf courses and boating and fishing at nearby parks and lakes. The area has a brand new Northwest Arkansas Regional Airport (XNA) for easy access to anywhere in the US. The climate is nice with fairly mild winters, but still has seasonal changes and beautiful scenery. If you visit, you might just love it!
