for instance if you have a two room apartment for $600 and two people share one room while the other has a room to themselves...What is the most fair arrangement?

$200 each
or
$300 for the person with the room to himself and $150 from the two sharing?

You could measure each room and divide them from you total rent. So, if your rent is 600 dollars and there are two rooms, you can measure two bedrooms and divide the sum to 600 dollars. You will get sq.feet per dollar. So, bigger room would cost more and smaller room costs less. But you'll have to adjust with bathroom. I'm guessing there is only one bath, so I wouldn't worry about it. But in three bed apartments, you will need to adjust your calculation by accessibility to an attached bath. I guess this is kind a dorky way to solve this issue. Use CBA, that's all I'm saying.

i think it would depend on what all the room mates agree to but i do not see why it should be by an even split as the other people sharing a room are sharing those facilites so it should be by room.
