Every once in a while my IPOD goes corrupt. It freezes. I have to let the battery run out before I can get it working again. Is there any other way I can get it to work again?

Try setting it to the original factory settings. It's in the directions on how to do it. You will wipe out all songs so make sure they are backed up. If it still freezes after doing this, you flash hard drive may be dying and will have to be replace. I bought the extended warranty from Best Buy when I purchased my Ipod and it covered the replacement of my hard drive.

I have an mp3 player and it does the same thing, all the time.I logged on to the manufacturer's website and found a way to deal with that problem.Turned out it is a very common problem, with external players.U may wanna try that.
