Some cleaning gifts aren't that bad. If it makes your job easier, it's a good gift. Last year my mom got me a Dyson vaccuum and I was super-excited. If you have mentioned that you like a certain thing then somebody who loves you might get that for you because they want to get you something they know you'll like and they know you'll use. If you have a clean house, it shows them that you use cleaning products. If your house were dirty then they might not buy cleaning products because they wouldn't think you will use them.

It's a little late, but if you have siblings you guys could all chip in money for a nicer gift than you could afford individually which is what I do. Starbucks has nice coffee mugs, gift cards, etc. Target has some really cute scarves that are all under $20, I believe. There is some pretty good wine finds for that price range if you are a savvy shopper. Also, a sentimental gift might not be a bad idea. Framed pictures, etc. Good luck.

Someone trying to hint at something with nothing better to do than obsess about how dirty my house was. Maybe they have an OCD.
*If you have a clean house, maybe they are trying to give you something they feel you would find useful rather than something that will just become out of date in a few months. Looking at it that way, I could use a years supply of cat food!

Well, I would say that they are trying to tell you something. But since your house is clean, I would say that in a strange way, it is a compliment. Knowing you keep a clean house, they are getting you something they know you will use.
Thoughtful.........odd, but thoughtful.

Someone that hasn't learned much about women yet. I'll admit, that when I was first married, I bought my wife a blender for a present. Well, I'm a quick study, and never did that again. It just takes a lot of living. So, don't worry about it. Just go from there. Let him know about it, and why.

Well, you have a clean house - the giver obviously believes that this is your only joy in life.

A stupidass. My ex-husband (one of the many reason he's an ex) bought me a 12 pack of bottled water for christmas. I know it's the thought that counts, but, I can't help but think what that thought, at the time, must have been.......??
