i have my nose pierced and i'd like something else done but not belly button or ears. what looks good? i like tongue studs but it's meant to really hurt...

There's so many piercings that you can really get. And as far as what you think looks good is going to vary from person to person. There are so many different variations for the ears, navel, eyebrow, lip/oral/cheek, nipples, genitals, etc. Then you have the oh so beautiful surface piercings. However, surface piercings are tricky because they really don't hold well and often migrate or rejects.
As far as the tongue, I've had my tongue pierced for about 4 years now and the piercing itself didn't hurt. The swelling afterwards was the most irritating about the entire healing process but thanks to aleve and ice, it makes it all worth while.

I have my tongue, nose, nipples, cartlidge and tragus pierced.
I would suggest the tragus - it is the piece right above the ear lobe where a 'normal' ear piercing would be. It HEALS really quickly and does not take as long like a cartlidge piercing. You should go to an experienced piercer - usually a hoop is used. Mine healed within 6 wks... The piercing itself does not hurt very much at all if you have a good piercer.

It hurts just for a while when you get it pierced and it will be swollen for a couple of days but that's all. If you are carefullful and pay attention at your piercer's aftercare instructions everything will be ok and it will look really cool! Eyebrow and lip piercing is also very nice...

the tongue doesnt hurt that bad, i got mine done about 5 years ago. it swelled and made it hard to eat for a day or so, but i knew people that never even had that happen.
and do you not want ears, like in lobes or cartlidge? why not the conch? my bf has that, its where the ring goes vertically thru the inner part of the ear, everyone always compliments him on that one

If you're worried about the pain and want to get something pierced just for fun... the one I got "down there" was the least painful of all my piercings. It's a vertical clit hood piercing.

If you really wanted a piercing, pain wouldn't matter. If you like the tongue piercing, go for it. Honestly, I am not a big fan of tongue piercings.
(I know you said not ears, but the following aren't boring)
I think you should get a conch piercing or an upper cartilage orbital. If you don't know what any of it is, links are found below.

I got rids of my tongue one, it was a mess and I didnt like it after I done it. A nice one is a tiny ring and the outside of your eyebraws

I like the Tragus piercings (I don't know how it is spelled). That's the little piece near your ear canal. It is suppose to hurt like hell, but looks cool.
