Yup!

But it wasn't about you..it was all about her.

She felt guilty and she erased that guilty by doing that for you. She didn't care about you..it was a selfish act

I don't know that your a git or shes gullible, the reasons be hide your wife leaving are between your wife and self, I can under stand how you must feel about your wife leaving you and deciding to take up a voluntary role with the salvation army, don't take up drinking it will kill you in the end,try to think of some other role that will interest you.try going on walks, dancing, drawing, painting a course at night school anything that gets you out and about meeting people,

No - You're a STAR!!! This Christmas you can tell her that you are working for CRISIS (homeless support stuff) ...and look sad and noble. Then go out and find someone else whose partner has dumped them and get pissed together on xmas day...perhaps there's a website for people who just want to get v. pissed and have sex with a new friend on xmas day...sounds ok to me!!

As i see it she was only asking you what you were doing so she could tag along and not be lonely for the day. you did the right thing, she left you, you can do whatever the hell you like now, you are your own man. lucky guy.
