Why is it a big deal if children see breasts ?
It's natural. In some cultures it's normal.

I'm for it all the way! I go to the nude beach here on Long Island (NY) so since we're all naked, topless isn't an issue. However, here in New York it has been legal since the mid-1990's for girls to be topless in public anyplace a guy can be, and more girls are starting to sunbathe topless at regular beaches as well. A number of my friends from school began going topless at regular beaches this summer, found they enjoyed it and have since started going naked with me at the nude beach.
It's so unfortunate that something as simple as bare skin can cause such a negative reaction among many people. We really need to lighten up about simple nudity...it's totally appropriate in many places and situations.
And do we really believe that a child will be scarred for life if he or she sees a bare boob? Doesn't happen in any other culture where it's normal to be topless...why should it happen here? If it does, it's our own fault for sexualizing bare boobs.

Nude is not the same thing as Lewd! Puritanical influence simply refuses to die in the USA. If people would relax about it, social nudity would solve a plethora of social problems, including body image issues like anorexia and bulemia.

I believe our society needs to grow up.as far as children go it is us adults who make a topless woman seem like something dirty .our country produces and watches so much porn,but a ladies bare breasts are going to offend us.

Its not appropiate because there might be children around and its too distrating but if its done on a private beach or whatever I don't see a problem. I know its natural. ..but most parents wouldn't want their 7 yr old to look at some ladies boobies. They don't need to be thinking about boobs and stuff at that age.
