You baby is perfectly healthy! She is in the 25th percentile, which is great! Here is a site that you can follow her chart. You can put her wieght and see if she drops or jumps in weight really fast, you will know. You are doing great! Keep it up!!!

no way....especially if your breastfeeding. Breastfeeding babies tend to be bigger than bottle fed babies. My daughter is 6 months old and weighs 20lbs. Besides a little chubby baby is way cuter and way more healthy looking. You dont want a skinny little baby. And besides when she becomes able to move around a lot more you'll notice her weight gain start to slow down. Especially when shes up and walking.

Not knowing all the particulars it is impossible to know if your daughter is overweight. I don't know family history etc. is she growing taller at the same rate?? Children all have there own rate of growth and learning, if she seems healthy and happy why ae you worried? The best person to tell you if your daughter is overweight would be her pediatrician have they said anything??

ok.....my daughter was 6 lbs 4 oz at birth.......at 2 months she was 11 lbs 6 oz and at 4 months she was 13 lbs 13oz....and at 1 year she was 19 lbs....so no she is not gaining to much weight too fast.....they say they should double their birth weight by 3 months........so it sounds like every thing is fine.....if you are concerend just talk with her doctor...and if the thinks there is a problem he will let you know....

Well generally speaking target weight at 6 months is double their birth weight, which your daughter has reached 3 months early. I would just talk to your pediatrician about it and see what he/she thinks. I'm not sure what you can do about at such a young age since it's not like you can just stop feeding her...so I would just talk to the Dr. and see if they are concerned about it.

I have a 3 month old baby too, a girl, and she's about 12lbs. and was 7 when she was born, She is not overweight at all, she's healthy, you may feel she is because she's not looking like a newborn baby anymore! Enjoy her!

Babies usually double or triple their birth weight in the first 3 months. This is normal for your baby.

My baby is 10 weeks old. He was 8.5 at birth and now he is 14lbs. He is not chunky at all and the dr said he is fine. Dr told me to not worry about weight until he is at least 2 unless he starts to look very chunky. She said babies need fat....if your baby is chunky, i'd suggest some physical play time with her. Do bicycle legs, exercise her arms......if she is just stocky (heavy but doesn't look it) then relax! good luck!

NO! It's not like you are feeding her McDonalds and candy bars. If she is too heavy your pediatrician will tell you at her 4 month check up and tell you what you need to do. Don't worry about it, just enjoy your little chunky monkey! Fat babies are cuter anyways!!!!
