My husband and I are planning a trip there at the end of this month. We'll just be there two days. I've heard that a lot to do is within walking distance if you stay in the downtown area. We're going to hit the zoo and Wild Animal Park (but the park is a bit of a drive). I've heard these places are cool, even for a couple like us in our late 20s without kids. We're planning to walk around the gaslamp district and through Balboa Park to see some of the museums.

Hello! Tomorrow (Saturday), there are holiday parades in Chula Vista, Ocean Beach, and Encinitas. You can also go see George Lopez (hilarious comedian) perform at SDSU at 8 pm (tickets are still available on Ticketmaster or craigslist). The Jammin Z90 Jingle Jam is also on Saturday at 7:30 pm at ipayone (Sports Arena) - should have a bunch of cool rappers there. Or, you can go ice skating at Horton Plaza downtown from 10 am to 10 pm Saturday or Sunday.
On Sunday, you can also go to the La Jolla Christmas parade. Barenaked Ladies is also performing at UCSD Rimac arena at 7:30 pm.
So...lots of great things you can do this weekend. Have fun!
