I know forever is a long time & some say nothing lasts forever. But i've been ina relanshp for almost 2 yrs & no one has stepped outside of the relatnshp yet. I've been cheated on b4 & it hurts, of course. But with this girlfriend, if she cheated i think it just mite kill me, or make it impossible for me to ever be with another person again. But how realistic is that? I know she's it for me, but how probable is it that we can be together for yrs & yrs & never experience any infidelity? Should i lose the hope now or just wait it out??

Faithful=of course no physical contact of ANY kind with anyone else besides your partner. Also, no emotional cheating.

it's a hard thing to believe for some people, but i believe that you can be in a relationship forever and no one cheats.
don't think about it so much . concentrate on how happy you make each other. care more about your partner than you do yourself. always try to let them know how much they mean to you.
some advice that i was given when i first got married - never go to bed angry and always kiss each other good night. doesn't seem like much, but it can be.
good luck

Yes, it is possible. And it is also possible that as you grow and love one another you will see that it's possible to love more than each other. Love is not finite. And the way you can prevent the hurt of being "cheated on" is for both of you to stay honest and keep talking and sharing. That is critical for any relationship to work!

I truly hope it is possible, I know I would die if my partner was unfaithful. If you are like me you only wonder because of what you have lived. I know its hard but try to forget that part of your past and trust the person you love. Its working for me and I am happy and able to relax and enjoy life without worrying.

Why would you even think to loose hope before you even try? Stop thinking ahead so far, no one has ANY guarantees on life, so sit back and enjoy what you have NOW. That's all you can work with anyway. I can tell you one thing for sure, if you keep thinking this negative way, you will SURELY attract it in your life. What's past is past, LEAVE it there! Don't scare this one away with your negative thoughts! Appreciate her, and she won't go anywhere

Well, it hasn't been forever for me yet. But it has been 34 years now. Everything in our lives, we attract to ourselves by who we are. At some point, if a person doesn't like what they are attracting, they have to change who THEY are. Today's divorce rate is alarming. I think over half of it has to do with economics.

Yes. There are people who have had one sex partner their entire life and feel no pain.
I think its rare, especially today, but possible.
MOST important is being honest and not sustaining your relationship on ideals as opposed to realities.

It takes good communication and self control. Waaay too many relationships end because of a lack of one or both of those...
