i would say trap it using a have a heart trap and then I would take it a good ways away from where you live and release it. That is what my grandpa always did when he had armadillos, or you could shoot it

Shoot it. When you shoot an armadillo, they do some amazing flips, then they die.

determine it's sex and introduce it to an O'possum of the opposite sex. worked for me.
