What a wonderful thing to do. You could go to your local Wal-Mart or Target and find ornaments for $5 or less. You might find some holiday baskets around that price. They will be more trinket type things like the M&M guy with a small bag of MM's attached to the toy. I found some cute things for $2.99 that I'd like to give people - little plush bears that make holiday music. You will find that they also have Russell Stover's chocolates (small boxes) for less than $5.

Also, try See's candies - they always have little boxes of candy (four pieces) for less than $5.

Happy holidays and enjoy shopping for your colleagues. They'll enjoy your thoughtfulness.

Go to any toy store and there are usually buckets of inexpensive 'funny' little toys. Personally, I prefer independent toy stores, the choices are usually a little more off beat or interesting. But, even the chain stores usually have some fun stuff.

For $5, you aren't going to get something they really need. Just focus on something that will given them, and everyone else who sees it, a good laugh. And, which might perhaps live on their desk for several months.
