I'm now 32 but my mother was married 5!!! times while I still lived at home. The best way she told my sisters and myself was during a family meeting. Just casual at home, no big build up. We knew her boyfriend and liked him. She was upfront and honest about the previos marriage(s) problems and what she thought would be different.
She told us obout various marriages in different ways, but the low key announcement where we could ask questions was the best!
Good luck!!!
And if the kids balk, let them ask you as many questions as they need to until they understand your feelings and hopes!
