Each time you get a heart, you will have a point at the end of the round. Points are bad, so try not to get so many hearts. And the queen of spades is worth 13 points. There are 26 points disbursed for each round... Unless-
The only other option is to get ALL the hearts and the queen of spades, too. Then everybody else gets 26 points and you get 0 for that round.
Low score wins. Play to 100, 200 etc...

There are several variations of the game, but the basic scoring is as follows: 1 point for each heart taken, 13 for the queen of spades, and if a player "shoots the moon" (takes all the hearts and the Q of spades), he scores nothing, and all other players receive 26 points. The winner is the player with the lowest score when someone reaches 100.

Some variations include Jack of Diamonds, where this card is worth -10 (in other words, a good card) for whomever takes it; the option to reduce your score by 26 when shooting the moon, instead of increasing opponents' scores; and different scoring targets.

Object is to be the lowest score when someone bust over the preset finish line, be it 100, 200 or 250 points

The scoring goes, that for every heart that is in a hand you win, you get the points for them, IE if there are 3 hearts in a hand, you would get 3 points. You also get 13 if you land a hand that has the queen of spades in it.

The only variation to this scoring is if you play the jack of diamonds. in this game you actually want to take the hand that has the jack of diamonds in it. this would reduce your total score by -10.

Hope that helped

you get one point per heart, and 13 for the queen of spades... but if you get all of the hearts and the queen of spades, you don't get any points and everybody else gets 13, that's called shooting the moon. You play to 100 or 250 or 500 depending on how long you want the game to last and whomever has the least points wins.

The only scoring I've ever heard of for 'Hearts' is like Michael put it - never heard of the option of decreasing your own score or upping everyone else's if you 'shoot the moon'- get all the point cards.

you get one point for every heart you have at the end and 13 points if you have the queen of spades. the object is to have the least amount of points possible. oh yeah if you get all the hearts and queen of spades you get the option of going back 26 points or sending everyone else ahead 26 points

Each heart card you receive is one point. The queen of spades is 13 points. So, if you are playing and you receive one heart card and the queen of spades card, you will have 14 points. :)

You get -1p for each heart you get and The queen of spade will get you -13p, so try to avoid her. Each other card is worth 0 points.
