Do not worry, hon. My friend is 7 months pregnant and has only gained 10 lbs. Some dont gain as much as others. Its not bad, as long as youre eating right. Make sure you are eating enough protein and fruit in your diet. Nothings says you have to gain 20lbs right off, thats a miserable weight, for some. Just think smart when eating, and you and your lil baby will be healthy as a bug! You sound like you are healthy and wont have much unwanted fat to loose after the baby is born. I hope you have a smooth pregnancy, hope this advice helps :-)

When I was pregnant I actually lost 12 pounds the first 14 weeks then I didn't gain anything for a couple of weeks and then I started gaining. I have always heard its kind of unpredictable. You might go a few weeks without gaining and then gain 5 pounds in a week. You never know. Aslong as everything has been normal in your pregnancy so far then I wouldn't worry too much about it if I were you. Just think that's a few pounds that you don't have to worry about losing when its all said and done.

It is not a bad thing as long as you are eating. It is important for you babies development to eat a balanced diet. Including food WITH FAT!!!! I'm not saying to eat high fat foods, but you need lots of lean protein, carbs, fruit, veggies, etc.....
It is very common to actually LOSE weight during the first few months due to morning sickness. Seriously don't be too concerned about weight gain during pregnancy all together. Your OB should tell you if you're gaining too much or too little. Breast feeding alone burns a TON of calories and will be a HUGE help in losing what you put on. Good luck!!

Your doctor will definitely let you know! I was consistently gaining some pounds by each visit, but at one point I leveled off and wasn't gaining. I got a talking-to, and was told to eat ice cream (the good stuff, not just packed with sugar) every night. Also, not everyone gains a ton of weight. I only gained 16 lbs. with my pregnancy, and I had a very healthy baby. But I'm a small person to begin with.

It's okay. I didn't gain any weight until 3 mos. and then it was only like 5 lbs. You might go through phases of little or no weight gain. If you're an average size person, they are only looking for you to gain about 25-35lbs. Sounds like alot right? If you slightly bigger, look for around 15-20lbs. The time to get concerned is if you start to loose weight.
Good luck!!

I am 32 and haven't gained any! Seriously! I think it really depends upon the person and their pre-pregnancy weight, etc.
I have a friend, as well, who was in the hospital through-out her first/second trimester with some serious morning-sickness. Needless to say, she didn't gain weight and actually was sent home with an IV to keep her hydrated/nourished.
it really depends. I think you are fine! You aren't even half way yet...so be careful what you wish for.

Not everyone gains the same.
You can stay fit during pregnancy (excercizing as usually done) and not put on much in the way of pounds.
First preganancy was so sick that I lost 9 poundsat first and then delivered only 10 pounds over my normal weight.
As long as your doctor thinks your weight is ok for you.

Sometimes you gain wieght in spurts. For instance you may gain five pounds in two weeks, and then go a few weeks without anything. You are right weight wise. I would not worry. Just keep doing what your doing and if you still worry ask your doctor.
