He said it does the same but I am not sure about it because there is no instructions for using it as an eardrop.

Can I use "Cipro %0.3 Siproflokasasin" as an eardrop for infection?
If so please give me the instructions

Yes, it's ok.
Eye drops can, and often are, used for ear issues. Ear drops can not be used in the eye.
The pharmacist should have given you printed instructions on how to use it as an ear drop with the prescription. If he didn't call him up and ask. Generally it's 2 drops 3 times a day, but that depends on the severity of the infection and what the doc has written it for.

Ciprofloxacin (Cipro) is available as either an otic (ear) or optic (eye) drop and it is perfectly OK to use the eye drops in the ear. Ciprofloxacin is an excellent choice for infections or inflammation of the skin of the ear canal. The most common organism is pseudomonas aureginosa and 'floxacins' are the only family of oral antibiotics which have activity against this bacteria. Trust your pharmacist - they are correct - and generally the pharmacist is a good source of information about medications.

Call your Pharmacist tell them you need to know how many drops and how many times a day and for how long. But I'll bet it is 3-5 drops in affected ear 4 times a day for 7 or 10 days but call them and find out. Yes it should work for ear too.

There is no cipro only ear drop. There is a combination of cipro and dexamethasone ear drop. The official, legal instructions of opthalmic cipro does not state anything about the ear. It is only indicated for several eye infections.

Ciprofloxacin is the name of an antibiotic - if yours is actually spelled as in your question, it's probably a parallel import (drugs brought in from abroad because they're cheaper - should be the same in all other respects). There should be a Patient Information Leaflet with the drops - if not, complain; the pharmacist shouldn't dispense the drops without one.

Yes he is right some eye drops can be used for ears. But not all ear drops can be used for eyes if that makes sense to you.

it is true that the same product is sometimes used for eyes and ears but if it doesn't say it on the packet then don't use it. Check with another chemist or your dr.
