Try Wikipedia. Enter the title of any book and it will lead you to the site with summary, notes, some interpretation of the books and such. Good luck.

If you like suspence and thriller, I'd look up a book by Shirly Jackson, that will definantly not only interest you, but your teacher as well. I don't like suspence, but these books by her are written beautifully, and they always interest me.
