I had a toyota rav 4 5 door for 7 years and never had one problem with it - totally reliable. I had unleaded and it did about 30 miles to the gallon but the new ones would probs do a lot more. Good Luck

Iv'e run Toyota's for the last 24 yrs they are the most reliable vehicle on the road ! MPG it depends on how you drive them so you will have to work that one out for yourself !but just as a matter of interest i run the 3 litre surf and i can get 31 miles to the gallon in town. Ex HGV Driver 48 yrs.

Yes, Toyota is top for reliability.

As for MPG, I think the D-4D diesel does about 42 combined, very good for the size and type of vehicle.

Petrol will be lucky to get 30.

I think you live in the European Country. I indicate the source of the fuel economy of the RAV4. It is actually in German, I don't speak, read and write German. I don't know the meaning of urban and extra urban driving. Once you see the figures (in metric system) you'll get the idea.

In the USA, they are reliable. In the USA, we don't have 3-door RAV4, but the engines here are of 2.4L 4-cylinder gasoline (petrol) engine and the 3.5L V6 gasoline (petrol) engine.
