I think the baby will be born when it is ready. I know how exciting the anticipation is; I've been there! But in the meantime, play a lot with your first baby and enjoy the family you have at the moment. When your second comes along, your household will be very different from what it is now.
From an anatomical side of things, from what I have heard, the first baby is typically late, but after that, babies are generally "on time". There might also be an issue of when conception was. If, when counting back, you and your wife were off by a week or so, that might impact your expectation of the due date.
Congrats on your addition though!!

Sex reportedly works. Also physical stimulation of nipples produces the hormone that causes contractions. You've got to be careful with that though since that can also lead to contractions being more painful during labor. Best advice - just let the nature take its course as the baby will be out when he/she is ready. If you carry over the term or get too uncomfortable, you can ask your doctor to induce labor.
Good luck!

There are several things that are said to help, but does your wife want to do them?
She could walk around for awhile, eat spicy foods, drink castor oil, scrub floors, drive down bumpy roads or have sex.
It is said that any one of these would work, but I am not sure if your wife is up for them.

If you are full-term and are close enough, you can try a lot of different things to try and naturally induce labor.
Sex is one. Seriously...not even kidding, but you need to ejaculate inside of your wife. Something about it can help promote dialation! It worked for us, but doesn't work for everyone.
Nipple stimulation is said to help, as well.
Stuff that you, as a man, should love!!!! :)~
Congrats and good luck!

Sex helps but so does walking. My sister-in-law walked in the mall everyday for a week before having her son. Your wife can do that or walk around the neighborhood if she is able.

Why would you want to do that? As a father of 2 myself, you're better off with the baby right where it is. You will be much better off if you could keep it where it is until it's 21 years old;)

The baby is not going to come until he or she is ready. However, if labor is imminent, both walking and sex can help to speed things along. Good luck!

The longer the baby stays in the womb, the healthier she/he will be. Don't rush. If you just absolutely can't wait (although you said "any day now", so what's the point?), go for a c-section. If c-section is not for you, ask her doctor to give her pitocin. Gosh, there's more than one way to kill a cat. Instead of writing a question here, why don't you talk to her doctor?
